This is hands down the best place I have had the pleasure of staying at. The quiet and serenity is blissful, and the views were stunning. It is the perfect break-away to recharge the soul. Wow! What a beautiful retreat. With the warmest welcome by a fantastic author and writer Jeff and his lady friend. You made every second at your place unforgettable. In the warm days there was the dark blue waters of the sparkling swimming pool. With the most amazing views... thank you very much for these unforgettable days.

What a absolutely magical place. We were so surprised at the quality of the accommodation, the facilities and all the comforts provided. The owners have thought of everything and I would highly recommend this place if you wanting to get away from the bright lights and sit back and relax.

Paradise found.
Carina and I have found paradise! What a fantastic place, the facilities, the views and the tranquillity! This is, in our view, the best accommodation we have made use of in our travels around the country. It was great sitting on the deck, enjoying a glass of wine, the fire going for the braai and watching the sun setting. Listening to the birds and watching the colours change as the sun went down was special. Carina and I will be back and for a longer stay! Jeff, it was great meeting you and thanks for the two books - I should have asked you to autograph them!

Dit was 'n ongelooflike lekker kuier met 'n fantastiese uitsig.
Ons was aangenaam verras met ons aankoms. Ons is mal oor die plek en sal dit beslis aanbeveel. Die omgewing is prentjiemooi en die huis het die mooiste uitsig oor die vallei. Baie lekker gebly.
'n Stukkie hemel op aarde.
Was 'n heerlike tydjie. Dit was rustig, veilig, vol natuur en vars lug. Sal vir seker weer gaan, sommer in die nabye toekoms. Baie dankie Travelling Tortoise dat julle jul stukkie hemel met ons gedeel het.

Jeff was extremely friendly and helpful. The ablutions are clean and nice spacious so your
dry clothes stay dry and you have space to change.
Sprakeloos - stunning.
Sjoe, wat 'n ongelooflike mooi plekkie (afgesien van swak padaanwysers in die aand, het die eienaar ons langs die pad kom haal - dierbaar van hom) is daar absoluut niks om oor te kla nie. Dis 'n plek waar jy nie 'n gordyn wil toemaak nie, jy lê net en kyk vir die sterre. Dan is daar tot 'n swembad daar tussen nêrens en êrens ... so pragtig. Sal ook volgende keer langer daar wil bly. Maak seker jy vat genoeg kos en voorraad, want daar moet jy nie elke dag in 'n kar spring en gaan 'shop' nie, nee, jy moet die omgewing geniet. Die huisie is baie besonders en netjies. Baie dankie.
Hemel op aarde.
Absoluut 'n stukkie hemel, mooiste natuur, mooiste sonsopkoms, asemrowendste sonsondergange, nog nooit so baie sterre in die hemelruim gesien nie. Dis doodstil, net jy en die natuur. Die mooiste houthu

Rustig en ontspannend.
Gasheer (Jeff) is uitstekend. Roete kan uitdagend wees. Verstaan van Jeff dat sy aanwysings (tekeninge van skilpaaie) gesteel word vir aandenkings. Het verblyf baie geniet. Word aanbeveel!
Absolutely fantastic!
It felt as if one were stepping back in time. The log cabin is so simple yet has all that you need. Our peace came from the simplicity of this accommodation. Rough hewn Poplar beams, an old rifle on the wall, and a cast iron fireplace created an atmosphere of yesteryear. Snowcapped mountains and miles of space created spectacular views. At night a vista of stars was revealed. Thank you Jeff for your hospitality, we will definitely return.
Enjoyed the absolute peace and quiet - saw nobody except Jeff
and then only at start and end.
Apart from the fact that instructions on how to get there were absolutely useless, the experience was great and we will definitely go back again. We loved Jeff's library of books - a very wide variety. We also bought two of his own novels.

Baie geniet, pragtige plek in natuurskoon.
Rus vir jou siel.
Wat 'n aangename verblyf in die mooiste houthuis met die heerlikste dek. Uitsig op prentjie mooi berge en met doodste stiltes behalwe vir voëltjies wat sing kry jy rus vir jou siel. Ons het 4 dae gebly en het dit terdeë geniet en sal definitief weer terug kom. Dit lyk net soos die fotos wat op LekkeSlaap geadverteer word. Definitief waarder vir geld al is dit 24 km uit Oudtshoorn het ons elke dag deur Oudtshoorn gery om by alles uit te kom en dit baie geniet.
Dit was 'Awesome'
Ons verblyf was onbeskryflik, dit was so lekker om net af te sluit van alle daaglikse dinge en die tydjie saam my man te geniet daar. Dit was lekker om veilig te voel en slaap al was daar niemand om jou, behalwe jou maat en die geluide van die natuur. Wow! Sal weer 'n wegbreek naweek keuse wees vir ons in die toekoms. Dit was "awesome". Dankie Jeff.
'n Plek om jou siel te vind met 'n asemrowende uitsig.
Die houthuisies is perfek vir 'n wegbreek van die stad se gejaag. Dis perfek geleë, nie te ver van die dorp af nie, maar ver genoeg om in doodse stilte te sit en kyk na die sterre. Behalwe vir die skapies se geblêr in die verte. Die uitsig van die balkon is asemrowend mooi en die houthuisie is perfek ingerig. Erg tevrede!
